  - Showcase simple off the shelf solar panels to illuminate more LEDs and

  - Showcase RaspberryPi
  - Showcase TinyLily and Tinyduino by TinyCircuits in Akron
  - Showcase an illuminated lab-coat (worn by G)
  - Showcase how to solder circuits (time and materials permitting)
  - Share information about Syn/Hak so that attendees can learn about our

Torrie, I got a response from CMMF that yes, soldering is indeed allowed
  at
the library. They are encouraging lots of it this year.

I think I have a good spread of things to display on an 8foot table. I
might even go vertical with some of the permanent interactive displays.
Also, I plan to stand in front of the table this year, rather than behind.

*Following things are forthcoming for this event *(they're in the mail, if
I get it I'll update the meetup event):
  - LED strip that I hope to mount on the 8foot table's edges to illuminate
  the whole table
  - 50-100 LEDs and 3V batteries - for the youngest attendees for them to
  take with them

  *Questions I have pending:*
  - Do we have a Synhak sign that I can take with me (battered is fine)?
  - CMMF just announced that there is one parking permit per exhibitor that
they can cover. I'm going so I plan to use the permit they give me for my
car. Anyone want to come along, simply reply back and we can rendezvous at
Synhak around 8a. I plan to have an early day, might event stop at Syn/Hak
earlier than 8a on 3/29 for last minute planning/testing. Unlike last
  year,
I plan to move towards Cleveland by 8:30a at the latest. My trunk will
pretty much fit everything I plan to carry.
  - I want to plan to blog the event. But if I'm solo, I can't video tape
makers in attendance and their projects for obvious reasons. If you go
  with
me, it'll allow me to guerrilla video makers - I don't know if CMMF has

Ya know, screw it, I'm getting out of this funk. I'm going to work on the
mobile hackerspace idea a little bit more and pack up what we've got for
soldering. We should still have a lot of kits.

SYNHAK: The Mobile Hackerspace Rev2 is complete.

I've adapted each of the two sheets of plywood we used at the Akron MMF:

* Painted one side black to easily find loose components
* Attached a power strip
* Cut out a handle for easy carrying
* Routed all the edges to avoid splinters and sharp edges.

I'm also including a light stand and a pair of lights in the package to help
out when our big heads are hovering over people's projects.

I've got a big tote of soldering irons, kits, liability waivers, writing
tools, some flyers, our mostly disintegrated banner, a first aid kit, and
various tools for soldering. It is in the back of my car and will try to be
brought up there at 9AM. Its currently 3AM, so lets see how that goes.

Suggestion: Can we spend $200 of that grant money on a bunch of new soldering
irons and another $300 on kits? Pretty please?

Also, I know that the space is a disaster lately since the contents of the
racks were unloaded onto every available surface instead of being neatly
stacked somewhere out of the way. That doesn't mean you can just leave tools
lying around and contribute to entropy. Please put them back, thanks.

G, are we permitted to accept donations?

At this year's event, we plan to:
 - Provide an area for people of all ages to build simple circuits on the
fly using a SnapCircuits kit (first come first served)
 - Showcase Arduino Mega controlled relays to synchronize your 110V devices
 - Showcase how to easily use painters tape and a battery to illuminate
LEDs that remain lit for months
 - Showcase simple off the shelf solar panels to illuminate more LEDs and
 power Arduinos
 - Showcase RaspberryPi
 - Showcase TinyLily and Tinyduino by TinyCircuits in Akron
 - Showcase an illuminated lab-coat (worn by G)
 - Showcase how to solder circuits (time and materials permitting)
 - Share information about Syn/Hak so that attendees can learn about our
 recent relocation in Akron downtown.

I guess you could say we're excited to be illuminating LEDs all day at the
Cleveland Mini-Maker Faire 2014, so come on out and have fun illuminating
 LEDs with us!

Torrie, I got a response from CMMF that yes, soldering is indeed allowed
at the library. They are encouraging lots of it this year.

I think I have a good spread of things to display on an 8foot table. I
might even go vertical with some of the permanent interactive displays.
Also, I plan to stand in front of the table this year, rather than behind.

Thanks Chris!

I left out underscores as I was planning to use the page off my cellphone
if on the day of the event.

I think there is a mobile app for the event as well here:
http://my.yapp.us/MMFCLE14

Its seems like a copy paste though. I was going more for documenting the
websites for the makers and get to it quickly.
