[Discuss-gnuradio] problems with redmine
I just did an install on Fedora 21 and there is a problem with the install directions on redmine. I can't seem to make an account (it says my email is already registered and when I try to recover a lost password I get no such users). The issue is that python-zmq needs to be installed for the test to pass. This is missing from the dependencies and I would have liked to have added it. Can someone help me get access and or add this information. Thanks, Jeff ___ Discuss-gnuradio mailing list Discuss-gnuradio@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss-gnuradio

Re: [Discuss-gnuradio] Computer controllable antenna tuner
Sorry didn't finish my email for hitting send. Marcus there are some things you need to be aware of. First the bandwidth of a small magnetic loop, like your describing is really small (2-6 KHz) for the frequency range that your describing. Assuming that is ok I don't know of a commercial solution. You can use this calculator to get a general idea http://www.66pacific.com/calculators/small_tx_loop_calc.aspx .I am currently planning on building one of these loops for the 40-20 meter bands using heliax 1 5/8 inch for the outer loop and a vacuum variable for the tuning capacitor controlled by either a arduino or rasp pi. I am still working on my plans but if your intent on utilizing one of these antennas I suggest you check out the group at www.magloop.com. If you not planning on transmitting a PA0RDT may be better. It is smaller. It is an active antenna and does require power but the websdr guys are getting good results with it. I would like to build one in the future as well. See google for more references but it is suppose to work well from 10KHz to 30MHz. 73 Jeff N6SDR On Mon, May 13, 2013 at 11:14 PM, Jeff Scaparra j...@scaparra.com wrote: Marcus there are some things you need to be aware of. [Discuss-gnuradio] Building on Mac OSX
Hello, I have almost gotten all the dependencies needed for gnuradio recognized however I have qt qwt and wx installed but they aren't being recognized by cmake. I have also tried to manually enable them with the -DENABLE_GR_QTGUI AND -DENABLE_GR_WXGUI options with no luck. I have used homebrew to install almost all of the dependencies and it has been a great help. If anyone have any experience building gnuradio on OSX I would appreciate any input. Thanks, Jeff (KK4EPP) ___ Discuss-gnuradio mailing list Discuss-gnuradio@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss-gnuradio
Re: [Discuss-gnuradio] Building on Mac OSX
I was just having an issue with the python path. gr_wxgui is enabled now. I have the qt stuff installed but will look at manually pointing cmake in the right direction. I think I can make this work. I hate to give up now. It would be nice to write up a brew formula for gnuradio but I have no idea how I would get my system back to a default state for testing after all I have done (without reinstalling). I had a good crack at getting gnuradio installed via homebrew but switched to macports in the end because I couldn't get the gui stuff working. Re: [Discuss-gnuradio] Building on Mac OSX
I think I have everything figured out now I have pyqt pygtk and pywx installed however cmake still isn't finding pygtk even though the version is correct (running 2.24.0) and python -c import gtk has no output. Anyone know what the specific check actually is? Jeff On Wed, Oct 26, 2011 at 1:18 PM, Jeff Scaparra j...@scaparra.com wrote: I was just having an issue with the python path. gr_wxgui is enabled now. Re: [Discuss-gnuradio] Building on Mac OSX
Alternatively it may be using the wrong python. Is there a way to specify which python to use. If it uses the same path as the normal terminal then it will work however if it sets the standard /usr/bin/python it will fail.
