In my algorithm, I need to compute the square root of a float number which ranges between 0 and 1. Thanks Dawei Table lookup with interpolation works well, particularly with this bounded range. In my algorithm, I need to compute the square root of a float number which ranges between 0 and 1. The DSP Tips and Tricks column of IEEE Signal Proc Magazine had it in one of the issues. I do not remember the exact issue. Check for 2004/2005 issues. Also if I remember, Rick Lyons' book also had a discussion on this. -- Ramakrishnan, VU3RDD ___ Discuss-gnuradio mailing list Discuss-gnuradio@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss-gnuradio
