RE: [ACFUG Discuss] Frame bustin'

2006-12-01 Thread Dusty Hale
Great point.

I am curious if server name redirect solution works. Hope to hear something
back on that. If it does I may start using it as a server side framebusting
technique. I wonder though if a cf page is in a frame from another server
how the #cgi.server_name# variable will act and if will still see the server
name that is in the location bar of the browser or if it would see the one
named in the frame (in which case it would not work).

Thanks Charlie and have a great weekend. Now I really am off for some fun in
Jamaica MON!

Cheer again to everyone.

Yes, it was on topic, Dusty. No worries (from my perspective, at least).
Let's all settle down on this. It does serve as a reminder that we do have
the community list as an alternative when a topic is expected to go beyond
the bounds of the normal purpose of the list. Sometimes folks forget, and
sometimes an OT on the subject line will cause most to let such an "O-ff
T-opic" post go. We just all should remember the different lists and their
purpose.

2006-12-01 Thread John Mason
Exactly, we all go off topic sometimes. I've been guilty on a few occasions
myself. It's just a good idea to monitor yourself and move the discussion to
community if it continues too long. When you make a reply, check yourself
and say is this really related to coldfusion or is this banter. If it's off
topic switch over to community. All this being said, we rarely get
complaints which is good and means we'll been policing ourselves fairly
well.

[ACFUG Discuss] RE: [ACFUG Announce] December Meeting - ACFUG Holiday Social

2006-12-01 Thread Charlie Arehart
Folks, John sent this note below to the announcements list, but I want to
make two clarifications about both the December and January meetings.

First, I don't want anyone to miss the point that we will NOT be having a
regular ACFUG meeting this month (next Wed) but will be having a holiday
party the same day at a location other than the normal meeting place, he
describes below. One word: WhirlyBall, baby! :-) It's a lot of fun, as I'll
have more to say about what fun that is in a note to the announcements list
(and which people can discuss if they'd like on the community list). :-) I
will note that it's in Marietta, not the one in Roswell for those familiar
with that one.

Second, something else not said is that the reason we can't meet in the
place we have been (John's FusionLink offices downtown) is that he is
moving, so the space is not available. It is due to be available for
January, and as such we plan to hold the January meeting (Jan 3) at his new
location, which is near the Perimeter. If you know where EchoEleven's
training facility is (
http://www.echoeleven.com/), it will be in the same office park.

Take a look at the calendar (

http://www.acfug.org/index.cfm?fa=calendar.calendar) to see the details on
topic and speakers planned for January and February. Same great meeting
content, just a new location. We'll send reminders about that to the
announcement list in coming weeks.

This is a good chance to remind you that if you're NOT on the announcements
list but you DO attend the CFUG meetings, you really SHOULD join that list
(see http://www.acfug.org/index.cfm?fa=mailinglists.info) since that's where
we make announcements about meetings. That alternative list is offered for
those who would not otherwise want to weed through the discussion list to
hear such announcements.

It's a lot of fun. So check out the site for info
(http://www.funzoneatlanta.com/). ACFUG will be covering the court time.
We're not doing pizzas this time. So be sure to grab dinner before you come

RE: [ACFUG Discuss] "FOO" used as a wildcard to discuss "CF" <-- CF Relevant!

2006-12-01 Thread Charlie Arehart
Yes, I think it's a lesson worth repeating for everyone: even with something
as trivial as "what does foo mean", it's amazing what one can find on their
own doing either a search or a lookup in Wikipedia.

We truly live in amazing times. I remember when we'd have to trundle down to
the library to find such trivia, and that would be if you could even find
the right book to give you the answer. :-) Now you can find out virtually
anything, even from your web-enabled phone. I don't know how long it will
take for the ramifications to be recognized, but it really does amaze me
everyday.

You shouldn't need to use the "window" object (that is assumed) and the
"self" object should be used as the value of the location but I think
Derrick's point is that maybe JS is not the way to go for this particular

I think the server name redirect would "may" work. Please give it a shot.

Anyone have a good, working method of frame busting? I ask because the JS
i have been using does not work when someone uses a web proxy (annon.) to
browse a site.

Examples that do not work (among many):

  if (top.frames.length!=0)

   top.location=self.document.location;

if (parent.frames.length > 0) {

parent.location.href = self.document.location

}

When someone uses a service such as http://www.anonymousproxyworld.com/
they can strip the javascript but even when they don't, it does not work.
They frame the page and append the meta data with their URL.

RE: [ACFUG Discuss] Frame bustin'

2006-12-01 Thread Dusty Hale
Derrick some afterthought . if these examples don't work, the example I sent
will likely not work either. I know it works under normal circumstances.

I wonder if you could possibly do a server name check to make sure you are
not in someone elses frameset? Like if the server name is not the one it is
suppose to be then do a cflocation to the correct URL without the frameset.
Just a theory.

Good luck with this.

Try this:

If(top.location != self.location){

 top.location = self.location;

}

I just typed that from memory so don't know if it is right (been awhile) but
if memory serves this may work for you.

[ACFUG Discuss] ColdFusion MX 7.0.2 Cumulative Hot Fix 1

2006-12-01 Thread Teddy Payne

All,
A cumulative hot fix is available for 7.0.2.

Here is the link to the tech note about it:

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=kb400074&pss=rss_coldfusion_kb400074

And here are the changes:

 ID Number Description Added in Cumulative
Hot Fix 62335 Hot fix to resolve cfdocument text being cut off and
additional text cut off issues when using various fonts and sizes. 1 63695
cfftp/listdir no longer fails on subdirectories under the the root
directory. 1 64046 Data source entries in the ColdFusion administrator are
no longer case-sensitive when using sandbox security. 1 52712 ColdFusion MX
7.0.2 can now use named parameters when calling stored procedures using the
dbvarname attribute within the cfprocparam tag. 1 64411 JSP processing
performance has been significantly increased. cfimport no longer checks for
a valid license every time, which was causing the resource bundle to load
off of the disk every time a JSP was called. 1

64200
When setting a request variable in Application.cfm equal to
getBaseTemplatePath and that variable is returned from a CFC function,
ColdFusion MX 7.0.2 will now correctly return the CFC file system path and
not the Application.cfm file system path.

1

63910
Duplicating very large structures now works as expected. Previously,
duplicating a very large structure would sometimes result in an inaccurate
duplicate of the original structure.

1
64063 When using Dreamweaver to work with an Access data source through
RDS, Dreamweaver will now properly display just the table name and not the
entire file path to the table. 1 64796 ColdFusion will no longer return a
NullPointerException error when trying to consume a web service using a JSP
servlet located in the same server instance as ColdFusion. 1 64364 As of
ColdFusion MX 7.0.2, cfreport would not recognize query columns added with
QueryAddColumn. This issue has been resolved. 1 65135 When using cfchart,
ColdFusion will now include the required file CF_RunActiveContent.js without
including /CFIDE at the beginning of the source path. 1 65255 ColdFusion no
longer requires write permissions to the directory when using with sandbox security. 1 64586 Hot fix to resolve a
possible cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in ColdFusion's handling
of forms. 1 64430 Hot fix to resolve 'Method can be only called once'
exception for any SQL update when using third party Informix and Sybase
drivers, and issue where same ResultSet is returned when a query is called
twice, first with MaxRows attribute set to specific value and later with no
value. 1
