Re: [ACFUG Discuss] A question on image uploads

2010-02-22 Thread Momolu Sancea
Hi Jeff,
If you are running on windows and want to buy something, you can use this:
http://www.softinterface.com/Convert-PDF-To-Image/Convert-PDF-To-Tiff.htm

If you are running LiveCycle you can go with this:
http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/8.2/programLC/programmer/help/000437.html

Or you can use Java with this method.

Hope that helps!

 Hey all,

I've been tasked with redesigning a UI for an expense reimbursement
system. One of the desires is to be able to crop images on the fly while
uploading and the possibility of converting pdfs to images. In a meeting,
it was specifically demoed using Google's image upload for a user profile
where you can crop one part of an image to use.

Does anyone have any recommendations on any software that is fairly lean
and not too pricey that can accomplish this? I read where cfpdf can create
thumbnails from a pdf, but I didn't see where it can convert a pdf to an
image. Cfimage doesn't really have the ability to crop. I found Magic Zoom
but it's not quite what I'm looking for.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 Thanks,
 Jeff

Troy is right, relative links will cause that problem.

I've had two cases with users and Outlook 2003. Others report no problem.

Is this happening consistently to all users of Outlook, or just to
particular users? Outlook has the ability to turn off links in emails,
though for the life of me I cannot find the checkbox.

I realize that this is probably an Outlook/Microsoft issue but I've not
 been
able to find a solution elsewhere, so I thought someone on this list might
 have an idea.

Using CF, we generate an HTML email that ties to a calendar application.
 In
a few random cases, users of Outlook 2003 report that they are unable to
click the links in the email because hovering over the email link reveals

 outbind://83-011

Instead of the full URL as it does on other clients.

 Any ideas?

 Thanks,

 Rob

[ACFUG Discuss] Weird thumbnails

2007-09-02 Thread Momolu Sancea
Hi everyone,

I have a weird problem. I am creating a pdf of an html file and then
creating a thumbnail of that pdf. For some reason the images in the
resultant file all have a weird right and bottom border, and this includes
the background image. I have posted an image of what I am talking about.
Does anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Re: [ACFUG Discuss] coldfusion web hosting

2007-04-18 Thread Momolu Sancea

I have used CrystalTech before, but it ended up costing me too much for what
I wanted to do. I am using GoDaddy now and it is really cheap. they offer
windows and linux servers and even their virtual and dedicated servers are a
reasonable price.

Pretty sweet if you had your own license for CF. Course CF on 256 megs
of ram might not work well.
