[pfSense-discussion] NIC detection

2008-03-05 Thread muhammad panji
Dear All,
Are there any easy way to detect (or re-detect) a NIC on pfsense? my
NIC is not detected by pfsense after I take the NIC and plug it again.
the NIC itself is in good condition but it is not detected by pfsense.
Thanks
best regards,

What exactly do you mean with re-detect?
Did the card ever work?
Did you assign the card under (Interfaces --> Assign)
When you look at the log of your startup (Status-->System Log) do you
see the card getting recognized?

Are you certain the card's plugged in completly?
(It is possible to put a PCI card into the slot, in a way that only half
the connections are connected)

And if the card never worked, are you sure that the card is supported?
