Amichai, can you kindly provide us with eligible hosting time slots for the
Doodle?

We can use Hamakor's social networks channels for advertisement, any
additional channels you can think of?

I can check for something in the Technion. I can book us one of the
 class rooms.

I also have a couple of places in Hader, not to complicated to get
there by bus from any of Haifa's train stations.

How many people are you expecting?

What's the format (lecture, round tables)?

We have a suitable class room at the Technion (at the Industry and
Engineering faculty).

I'll check if they're willing to host it.

WiFi isn't a problem. Any attendee who is a student anyware can use the
Eduram WiFi and otheres have an open WiFi too.

We can use Doodle[1] to get an idea of how many will actually attend .

Somewhere in or near Matam would be great.

I am open to hear about other locations where we have a chance of a
reasonably large audience.
The first time I ran this in Tel Aviv there were about 30 people. That is a
good number, Anywhere between 20-50 participants sounds good.

It is a mix of short lectures and hands-on in pairs. So we'd need tables
and wifi. People need to bring their own computer.

ps. BTW If someone is interested to organize such meeting in other areas in
the country, please get in touch.

 hi there,

so yes, I assume most of you on this list are regular Open Source
contributors, but I also assume you have a lot of co-workers who are not.
This is an opportunity to get them involved.

On January 24th I am running a workshop in which I am helping people
get through their first Open Source contribution. This is a language
independent event. We don't even require people to know how to program.
There are plenty of things people can contribute even if they don't know
 how to write code.
