Re: How to install Django?

2013-12-04 Thread Daniele Procida
You'll get answers to your questions on the django-users email list,
 - the web interface is
.

The list you've posted to is django-developers, an email list is for the
discussion of the development of Django itself.

You might also find helpful the #django IRC channel on irc.freenode.net.

I hope that helps,

Daniele

Is it?
I would surely do that. But I was redirected to this list from Django
site saying if I have any installation problem.

How to install Django in Windows XP(SP2)

2011-02-13 Thread Subhabrata
Dear Group,
I am a very new entrant in Django. I have downloaded the Django. I am
using MS-Windows XP(SP-2). I use Python 2.6.5 (r265:79096, Mar 19
2010, 21:48:26) [MSC v.1500 32 bit (Intel)] on win32
Type "copyright", "credits" or "license()" for more information with
IDLE as GUI.
I have extracted the tar.gz file to the Python26\sitepackages and
tried
import django in IDLE but it is giving the following error message:
>>> import django

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "", line 1, in
import django
ImportError: No module named django

If any one can kindly let me what erroneous step I am doing?

Best Regards,
Subhabrata.
