A better place to talk about closed tickets is the mailing list.

Comment (by pba...@retrodict.com):

 Bump.

This is a bit old, but came across it in development of Django dependent
project, RapidSMS. This inflexibility has caused (poor) duplication of
 code (see

 1] and
 [http://groups.google.com/group/rapidsms/browse_thread/thread/40bb13a029aa7715
 2] and

 3]).

As Django has grown and become used by more projects, it might make sense
to tackle this. @gsong, a custom command in manage.py doesn't fix the
hard-coded path in django.core.management.base.copy_helper. Instead of
making an additional setting, how about passing an additional variable to
the copy_helper? I'd be happy to submit a patch!

Comment (by gsong):

Or just write a custom command to plug into `manage.py`.
