The svn is using Dreamhosts new svn setup, which has been a bit flakey.
 Give it another shot.

Cool...thanks! (I have my own, wimpier implementation, so let's see
what I can stea...er, learn from!)

One note: It appears (and you've probably already noticed) that there's
a typo in the Technorati xmlprc ping:

reply = technoratiServer.weblogUpdate.ping('Socialist
Software','http://www.socialistsoftware.com/')

should be

reply = technoratiServer.weblogUpdates.ping('Socialist
Software','http://www.socialistsoftware.com/')

(ie, Update becomes Updates)

I like the implementation, though...nice. I've been trying to figure
out a reasonable way to get my pinging improved...this looks nice and
clean.
