[DNG] apt-get update issues today
I tried apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade today and not sure what's going on. Some kind of issue with makedev or udev along with a warning about the kernel and initramfs-tools Can somone offer some insight on how to resolve the issues in this console output? https://pastebin.com/q55wVD1S ___ Dng mailing list Dng@lists.dyne.org https://mailinglists.dyne.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dng

Polkitd links in an xml parser, the perl compatible regular expression library and the gobject infrastructure of gtk. That adds a zillion lines of code to many security-critical applications and increases the attack surface in the same proportion. It also makes it harder to trim down the minimal-server installation ... regards marc ___ Dng mailing list Dng@lists.dyne.org https://mailinglists.dyne.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dng

Thanks. I'll dig in that direction. Based on this and many other incidents, policykit seems to be a big, gaping security hole. I expect that it is also quite difficult to extricate from jessie. /Lars ___ Dng mailing list Dng@lists.dyne.org https://mailinglists.dyne.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dng
