Martin, I know from past interactions with you that you don't like me,
but it's not FUD if one admits he doesn't know the true meaning
of the information he has, or whether it's true or not. And as far as
source of information, this was Debian-User, which is certainly a
reasonable source of information.

For me on a raspberry pi the important information is

Revision: a02082

The revision numbers are published for all the different models of RPI.
From that GPIO software can determine the proper gpio address, whether it
is an old 26 pins gpio model etc.

I was refering the fact that, you called that information, very valuable and
reliable to use some functionalities.. :)

And I showed that cpuinfo, for ARM devices, is not so reliable.
I showed the case were you were with a cpu and it reports another one( the
LibreElec case, running a cortex a53 and it reporting a armv6 cpu.. )..

Today cpuinfo for ARM is better,
But still far from let's say x86..due to not be so reliable after all( even ARM
annouced that some action would be needed to turn it more reliable )..
So we can say that today its a improoving situation from the madness of the
past..

For me, the Most valuable information is:
CPU implementer : 0x41
CPU part: 0xc07

CPU implementer : 0x41

In this case the Implementer is ARM Itself( so.. its a ARM stock design.. ),
even tough that the chip has its own name and company that produced it.. the
design is a ARM stock one( 0x41 is the ARM code ).

CPU part: 0xc07

which tells me that its a Cortex-A7 design..

deb.devuan.org is a pool of mirrors. You are probably hitting a mirror
which is not up to date.

Which mirror are you hitting (IP address)?

I would uggest you (temporarily!) use the main repo pkgmaster.devuan.org
in lieu of deb.devuan.org

Yes I am using ascii and ascii-backports, but that does not make any
difference, the result is still the same.
I am using deb.devuan.org in sources.list.

Unfortunately the situation is still teh same, lots of 404's.

Are you using ascii?

According to
https://pkginfo.devuan.org/cgi-bin/d1pkgweb-query?search=libmspack0&release=ascii
is it in ascii.

You maybe hit a mirror before it had synced. I suggest apt update and try
again.

The voting period lasts still 27th of December as you can easily see on
debian-vote mailing list.

Before that there is no final result of that vote.

So please go to the source of the information, before posting FUD here.
