[libreoffice-documentation] Re: Calc Keyboard Shortcuts

2020-02-10 Thread Stephen Fanning
All,

Following up on this email from a few weeks ago, I have started collating a
more comprehensive list of the implemented shortcuts across operating
systems so that we can raise bugs on the Help (if required), update books,
etc.

Regards,

Steve

[libreoffice-documentation] Organizing Base Handbook

2020-02-10 Thread Dan Lewis
Yes, Pulkit, I would like very much to collaborate with you on
getting version 6.2 published. I have some suggestions on doing that.

In the Preface chapter text, I changed the mentioning of the Galaxy
icons to Colibre icons. The team decided to change that to Colibre last
year. I only mention this in case you are not presently using Colibre icons.

I also noticed in chapter 1 that some of the screenshots had
headings at the top of them in German. I don't know why, but new
screenshots are needed. I have left a note at each screenshot that I
think needs to be redone. Rob has promised to do this for us.

And to Rob: make sure when you are finished with the screenshots and
return it to the Feedback folder that you update the work spreadsheet in
the Replace screenshot column with the date returned. Also make sure you
use the Windows O/S to do this.

Back to Pulkit: I would like for you to continue translating the rest of
the chapters after which I will review them. Just make sure to let the
team on this mailing list when you upload any file in the Base Handbook
folders.

When version 6.2 is completed, it will be time to first consider the
updating it to version 6.4 which should not take much time to do.

As I side issue, Pulkit, have I missed an email to the list from you in
which you introduced yourself to us? If you have not done so, please do
so we all know what talents that you possess.

Re: [libreoffice-documentation] Screenshots

2020-02-10 Thread Olivier Hallot
Hi Toni

You have an internal tool to get the screenshot at the right size and
file format. PLease follow instructions in this page:

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Documentation/Screenshots#Creating_screenshots_manually

Don't be afraid of touching some internal worms in LibreOffice
configuration. The screenshooting technique there pays well.

[libreoffice-documentation] Need some video for draw abillities of libre office

2020-02-10 Thread Pkef Vkef
Dear Sir/Madam
I am interested to know more about Libre office.
I already have autocad. But i must admit that i find libre office much more
attractive.
I also work with raster images.which means i import tif files which are
drawings and i need to erase some parts in them correct and the most
important increase or decrease the printing area in the printers output
paper so i can bring it to the scale i want.
I really feel the necessity to congratulate all of you that have created
that fantastic drawing tool.
I will even donate an amount to you.*YOU DESERVE IT.*
so please launch to me some videos concerning all the work that can be done
in RASTER images as well as the initial paths for creating a new drawing.
In Autocad we have the offset tool that you draw a line at a specific
distance, fillet connect vertically 2 lines etc etc.
In Libre still i can not find these tools.
So i need your video guidance.
Thanking you in advance
