Hi Jean,

I'm sorry to inform you that I won't be able to work on the chapter which I
have marked with my name due to a few commitments but will surely resume
once I have a dedicated time again shortly.

Thank you ☺

Kind regards

Re: [libreoffice-documentation] Find & replace attributes not working

2020-04-21 Thread S Shravz
Hi Toni,

I just looked into the steps you have drafted in your first email, when
looked into online help I found related content in the below link which
might answer your query:
https://help.libreoffice.org/6.4/en-US/text/shared/guide/find_attributes.html?&DbPAR=WRITER&System=WIN

The link says "For example, if you search for the Font attribute, all
instances of text that do not use the default font are found". So I guess
the "Font" function works only to search for the font which doesn't default
in the document. Same with the font color option as well when font color is
changed in the document and the "Find next" option is clicked with the
"Font color" attribute selected, it works. I tried both the options and it
worked for me as per whats mentioned in the link.

Hope my explanation makes sense.

Kind regards
Shravani

Re: [libreoffice-documentation] reviewing Chapter 2 of the Writer Guide

2020-04-16 Thread S Shravz
Hi Jean & Kees,

I have downloaded the file from the feedback folder updated with Jean's
comments and worked on all the required changes including the change in
images. Please let me know if that's not the protocol to be followed and if
the changes in the file had to be made directly in nextcloud for others to
know that someone is working on the file. The file is pending with one
topic where a little bit of research needs to be done.
About the above mail chain, I just looked at what is the default option. It
is the icon with the dropdown, please refer to the below screenshot for the
same. Ever since I downloaded LibreOffice I haven't made any changes
pertaining to this option in my Standard tollbar and I have only one
"Insert Special Character" option with a dropdown. So the guide was updated
as per the default option visible in my LibreOffice. Please let me know if
my understanding is correct.

Kind regards
Shravani

Hi Jean,

It was nice to go through your responses to my comments which provided me
better insights, will research back and respond to the same.
Could you please let me know if replacing the figures from the Windows
version would do?

Hi Regina,

The issue is the same with any of the fonts when the text is selected in
the inserted text box and clicked on Increase or Decrease font size.

[libreoffice-documentation] LibreOffice writer- Crash

2020-04-02 Thread S Shravz
Hi,

Writing this email to notify the crash report I came across repetitively
when reviewing the guide.
The LibreOffice software window closes suddenly and the below dialogue box
pops up when trying to increase or decrease the text size in the inserted
Text box in LibreOffice writer. I'm not sure if the same is happening to
others as well.

I'm new to LibreOffice, I hope mailing this here is okay.

Kind regards
Shravani

portrayed. Just used it as a medium to convey.

2020-03-20 Thread S Shravz
Hi Toni & Jean,

Thank you for your prompt response. I just had a glimpse at the Writer
guide and navigated through the LibreOffice writer as well, would having
knowledge of MS Word be helpful to meet the purpose of this task?
I found similarities between both, so probably I can be lending a helping
hand to be of some help.
Please let me know your thoughts.

Thank you.
