The Clue is in the word 'TalkTalk'. It seems that a lot of people who have been sent the new Huawei or D-link routers have been experiencing problems. I have reverted to my old 3Com router until TalkTalk tell me that there is a fix. It seems that some people who have installed the new firmware for the D-link router have bricked it, so I will wait. The talktalk one is a D-Link DSL-2780 completely talktalk-ified from the outside. I cannot find it on the d-link site. Talktalk discuss in their forums being able to automatically update the firmware without the owners intervention, so this backdoor doesn't surprise me.
