Re: [Dorset] Who knows Winton? In-person meeting, Wednesday 19th June.

2024-06-18 Thread Hugh Frater
I would usually be able to make it, no problem, just not this week as I’m
away tomorrow evening.

Hi,

I would be happy to go there, but unfortunately I am ill so I shouldn't
go and spread the illness.

Hope any of you who do go have a good time :)

Monday Club has the drinks get even cheaper; I don't know if that
makes it busy.

I see there's one in Winton.

Looks like there's some parking nearby, off Cranmer Road, though
I don't know if it's public; I'm not a local.

Anyone have comments about Ralph's suggestion of Wetherspoons Winton
(quoted [above])?

It will probably have a TV or two. They normally show BBC News.
They'll switch to the football match but the sound will remain off.
’Spoons are normally quite big with plenty of seating away from teles so
the football fans won't be competing with you for space.

Who is planning to go tomorrow? (I'm in.)

Not me. Not a great time at the moment for travelling for me.
