Re: dovecot imap_zlib
Hi, I tested teh git version of dovecot. It seems the IMAP Compress plugin (imap_zlib) has disappeared. https://github.com/dovecot/core/commit/5f27e25c64555dcaae6cb00c479cd05bc2638081 so the zlib plugin is also deprecated and clients should run compress themselves? Re: The future of SIS
Hi, Hello to everyone! Ooops, we are using SIS, guess the solution for a similar optimization will be a native deduplicated filesystem. did you really mean deduplicated or distributed? Re: DOvecot requires both IPv4 and IPV6 to start
Hi, We have IPV6 disabled for security reasons on all server builds. Why did you disable it for security reasons? Regards Bjoern ___ dovecot mailing list -- dovecot@dovecot.org To unsubscribe send an email to dovecot-le...@dovecot.org

Re: Messages sent to alias+detail end up in INBOX
Hi, > So, there is now way that Dovecot can create folders with "detail" name for > mail sent to "alias+detail" address? > did you take a look into the logs? E.g. in my setup, dovecot complains when sieve should put the message into a folder which does not exist. Maybe it logs something also in your case why it does not create the folder. Regards Bjoern

This would result in "Broken pipe" read errors when trying to read it back. So, sorry for the noise :) Best Regards Bjoern
lzma mdboxes with unexpected EOF
Hi, I'm running dovecot 2.3.13 (until 05.01. it was 2.3.11.3) on Arch Linux and used lzma compressed mdboxes. Yesterday a user called me that she is missing all mails from the beginning of the month until now. I took a look into the logs and saw several "lzma.read [...] unexpected EOF at <>". As I had no clue why the mdboxes are broken, I tried to convert all 3 mailboxes to Maildir using "doveadm sync" to prevent further issues and stumbled upon several lzma errors for mdbox files of my own user. So I wrote a script which took the offset and size via "doveadm dump" und then dds the xz parts out of the broken mdboxes and extracts them via 7z. But I'm wondering why that happened at all. I stumpled upon [1] but there was no further discussion about it. Best Regards Bjoern [1]https://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2019-September/117007.html
