LIST reply is very loosely defined. It may be very much out of order.
It may even contain duplicates.

When I modified the imap source I had a lot of crashes as I'm sure a lot
of people had. Just I wasn't as bossy to ask other people to fix them
for me with their crystal ball.

Search the dovecot wiki for the maillog plugin, it should do what you
want minus the crashes.

IMAPS already listens on a port other than 143, port 993.
