Well, I _plan_ to do something like this. It involves a quota dict in a MySQL server, so all systems (frontend MXe, backend storages, admin web console, etc.) can access the data to block or unblock users. Hello, if a user over quota is, he can do no mails more receive. So far, so good. But why he can do, nevertheless, mails do send? Switched to LMTP and its now working, I'm getting the over quota message back when emailing through postfix. Not sure why it didn't work with dovecot-lda. [Dovecot] over quota issue
I have a situation where if a user is over quota and sending through postfix I get an error, now this error only happens if the user is over quota, otherwise it works with no problem. However if sending using /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda it works every time even if overquota, any ideas? I just can't seem to figure this one out. [Dovecot] Over-quota bounces seeming to lack sender
We're seeing an issue with 1.2.12 where over-quota rejection messages are appearing in the logs with <> as the sender. The sender of the original message sees the appropriate sender (postmaster@) on the rejection, but as the message makes its way through the postfix/amavis chain, I can see that the sender address is missing. Is there any way to still be able to login/delete email via dovecot-imap when the user's filesystem quota is exceeded?
