Re: Package repository now available
Any reason not to do curl https://repo.dovecot.org/DOVECOT-REPO-GPG | apt-key add - Seems to work fine here. 2nd question : For a stock Ubuntu 16.04 install, will adding this repo allow a clean upgrade ? These are the current packages : dovecot-antispam 2.0+20150222-1build1 dovecot-core 1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.4 dovecot-imapd 1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.4 dovecot-lmtpd 1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.4 dovecot-managesieved 1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.4 dovecot-mysql 1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.4 dovecot-sieve 1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.4 dovecot-solr 1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.4 Thanks for the repo - should make things much nicer ! Now I am using Dovecot v2.2.3 install from source on CentOS7. (Config option: ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --with-mysql --libdir=/usr/lib64 --with-solr) If I add this new yum repo and do a "yum update", will it smoothly upgrade to v2.3? Will the update also take care the systemd service? Thanks. Gao

Sometimes you do re-releases of the source tarballs if minor bugs are found, so I'm wondering if it would make sense to wait 1 week to release rpms? So you don't yum-autoupdate all installations with possibly faulty releases? Thanks again. -- Tom Sommer
