I have already done it, I use dovecot 1.1.3 on OpenSuSE 11.0. In dovecot.conf there is: mail_plugins = quota imap_quota mail_plugin_dir = /usr/lib/dovecot/modules/imap mail_plugins = quota mail_plugin_dir = /usr/lib/dovecot/modules/pop3 mail_plugins = quota mail_plugin_dir = /usr/lib/dovecot/modules/lda quota = maildir But no maildirsize file was generated, and if is already present, was not updated Any idea? But no maildirsize file was generated, It's not generated if you haven't told Dovecot what the quota limits are. In that case it uses the quota limits from maildirsize file, and if it's not present then Dovecot assumes you don't want any quota (or quota tracking). If you don't want quota limits but only tracking, you could upgrade to 1.1.4 and set: quota_rule = *: and if is already present, was not updated It should have.
