Was never able to get this sorted out, and the attempt to update to FreeBSD12
in-lace did not work, so I ended up rolling back openssl to 1.0.2r and all is
working again.

Hi!

gdb usually works if you provide it both binary and core file, like

gdb /path/to/some/binary /path/to/some/core

e.g.

gdb /usr/libexec/dovecot/imap-login /var/core/core.imap-login.1234

At a loss. I've removed and reinstalled all the ports that use
openssl.so.10 now, and still having the same issue. At this point, I'm
looking at just upgrading the whole system to freebsd 12.0 and seeing
what happens. Not sure why the core files don't seem to cooperate with
gdb, butI assume that is some freebsd configuration issue.

If anyone has any other ideas though I am all ears.

I've rebuilt dovecot, but no change in behavior.

I also enabled debug, but nothing else is logged to /var/log/dovecot
as to why IMAP is crashing.
