[DQSD-Users] Craigslist search
Thanks to the Shawn, Glenn and the group I have added a youtube, an in-context Wikipedia search and a google desktop search. All have really helped me. Thanks again. Ever since eBay started raises prices to squeeze small sellers out I've switched to Craigslist. I made a craigslist search with the DQSD wizard but it's too simple for what I need. I don't have the skills to improve it. I wonder if anyone has a craigslist search that includes a few bells a whistles like where to search, which category etc. - Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell? [DQSD-Users] Expanding the Google desktop search
Thanks to Shawn I have been successfully using Google desktop search a lot. I just found this program as an add-on and it has greatly expanded the search capabilities of Google desktop search, No doubt eventually Google will incorporate some of the features into desktop search but until they do it's pretty handy. RE: [DQSD-Users] Add a suffix action key
Thanks Kim. Your answer got me to the right place. All done and working fine now. Much appreciated -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kim Gräsman Sent: Tuesday, November 09, 2004 1:41 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [DQSD-Users] Add a suffix action key Hi Steve, > EBay has eBay and the suffix % as action keys. > > For pre setup keyboard reasons I need to add a suffix key to a couple > of the searches. > > How do I do that? You add aliases to localaliases.txt in your installation dir. There should be a semi-empty localaliases.txt with instructions already. IIRC, you separate the parts with pipe chars ("|"), so to add an alias of "d" to the Dictionary.com search ("dic"), you should be able to do: d|dic You can add further parts containing description, etc., but I don't have that clear in my head, so see the file. Thanks Shawn. Sorry to be a dunderhead but I'm not with you on this F8 thing. Could you clarify where F8 gets pressed. I tried it in DQSD and Google desktop but I can't get anything happening.
