Re: [drakelist] TR-7A Caution
"Don and Diana Cunningham" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterence to the drakelist gang -- Jim, Two other things speak to your concern. Enlarge the front panel and see the "plain" TR7 label on the front. Also, no TR7A I ever saw needed "accessories installed", they were already installed, like the NB7, filters, etc. That was the basic difference between the 7 and 7A. That said, something obviously that new would be a nice find, for sure! 73, Don, WB5HAK- Original Message - From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, October 25, 2004 4:31 PM Subject: [drakelist] TR-7A Caution [EMAIL PROTECTED] made an utterence to the drakelist gang -- There is a TR-7A for sale a few mouse clicks from here listed as: "DRAKE TR7A LINE ""NEW IN BOX " I ask the seller for the serial number and he promptly replied with 9978. This is well below the known highest TR-7 serial number of 10,376 from WB4HFN's web site. If you were thinking about buying this item please be aware that it might not be what it seems. RE: [drakelist] TR-7A Caution
"David Havel" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterence to the drakelist gang -- If you zoom in on the enlarged photo of the rig, through the bag, you can see that there isn't an A after the TR7. It'd still be nice though! ;-) 73, Dave - NO3K -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, October 25, 2004 5:32 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [drakelist] TR-7A Caution [EMAIL PROTECTED] made an utterence to the drakelist gang -- There is a TR-7A for sale a few mouse clicks from here listed as: "DRAKE TR7A LINE ""NEW IN BOX " I ask the seller for the serial number and he promptly replied with 9978. [drakelist] TR7A (NIB) on Ebay...Response
You asked:"Just an FYI from the Drake list. there is some doubt that the rig is an actual tr7AThe TR7A started with serial number >10,5xx. You stated it is s/n 9xxx. You may want to clarify or reverify it is indeed an "A." The pic does not show thisSo, I'll ask again...Is it a TR7A or just a TR7? Please reply. Thanks, Ed NI6S"It is a tr7 with the upgrades with filters and warc bands that make it a tr7a. I will clarify it in the auction.
