Re: [Drakelist] Drake separates
Well, thanks everyone for a very interesting and lively response to my mail on this reflector, great to have so many opinions and thoughts on this subject, I think after due consideration I will be looking for a TX-4B and an R-4B the choices were made on the following, most of the 'extras' come built in, prettier looks, just seem more appealing and will go well with my L-4B (B version), more valves, thus easier for me to work on and probably to get spares too, some transistors are getting hard to find, not so with most valves. Anyway when I find them I will almost certainly be asking more questions, 73 Max M0GHQ -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter. We are a community of 6 million users fighting spam. [Drakelist] Fw: T-4XB
I last posted a request for help with a T-4XB that would not load. I appreciated all the help and replies I received . It turn out to be a cracked Band Selector switch. I have since acquired another T-4XB from a friend. With this rig I can not get a bias reading on the meter to adjust the 70 ma bias current. I've have check the power supply and all voltages are correct. Lamps and tube filaments are all good. Bias voltage from Power supply varies with the adjustment pot like it should, but No rig Meter movement at all. I check the meter and it is good. Any advice or suggestion will be most appreciated. Thank You , Fred, KC4SUE ___ Drakelist mailing list Drakelist@zerobeat.net http://mailman.zerobeat.net/mailman/listinfo/drakelist
