Top notch product, high quality. I've got the blue ones in my rig.
Any suggestions of the hash of the audio of TR7, such as digital filters
etc?
What sort of hash are you talking about? There are some mods floating around
the internet to alter the frequency response of the RX audio stages. I recently
replaced two disc ceramic coupling caps in the audio chain with poly, on the
theory that disc ceramics are not optimal as audio coupling caps. I haven't had
time to evaluate yet, but it can't hurt. It's been theorized by a friend of
mine that the low-level harshness that I hear on weak signals (especially CW)
might be diode hash in the first mixer, and upgrading to a newer mixer brick
may help. Haven't tried that yet, those things are a bit pricey. Proper
alignment of the +10V regulator and the AGC circuit are critical to the
listenability and performance of the receiver.
Does any of this help?
I found that a ClearSpeech DSP does wonders for static crashes on 75 Meters...
