[Drakelist] T-4XC schematic
Can someone tell me where I can get a nice clean full size schematic for a Drake T-4XC that I can actually read? I am willing to pay to have it copied and mailed. Hank___ Drakelist mailing list Drakelist@zerobeat.net http://mailman.zerobeat.net/mailman/listinfo/drakelist
[Drakelist] PBT Coil Carriage lube - or is it the spring?
It seems my re-lube of the PBT coil carriage in R-4B #1 was less than successful. I had very lightly lubricated it with molybdenum grease (the same stuff used on CV joints) after a thorough cleaning and it started going wonky again. If I reached around to the back and pushed on one of the adjuster tips, the carriage would return to its proper position. If any of you have re-greased this, what type of grease did you use? 73, Steve, W1ES/4 ___ Drakelist mailing list Drakelist@zerobeat.net http://mailman.zerobeat.net/mailman/listinfo/drakelist
Re: [Drakelist] T-4XC schematic
Hank - If you had my CD for the C-Line, you'd have a clean schematic of BOTH T-4XC Schematics, along with a lot of other stuff.. If you send me your s/n, I'll send you the correct schematic via attachment. It will print out a 2' x 4' if you wish at a Kinko's or other large format printer, or any other size down to 8-1/2 x 11 (a little hard to read!) -- 73, Garey - K4OAH St Charles, IL Drake 2-B, 2-C/2-NT, 4-A, 4-B, C-Line and TR-4/C Service Supplement CDs www.k4oah.com Henry Foglesong wrote: Can someone tell me where I can get a nice clean full size schematic for a Drake T-4XC that I can actually read? Re: [Drakelist] PBT Coil Carriage lube - or is it the spring?
Steve - I just use a light oil on the bearing points. It's not a particularly heavy load bearing interface. Have you looked at the CD MISC for 'Vernier repair? -- 73, Garey - K4OAH St Charles, IL Drake 2-B, 2-C/2-NT, 4-A, 4-B, C-Line and TR-4/C Service Supplement CDs www.k4oah.com Steve Wedge wrote: It seems my re-lube of the PBT coil carriage in R-4B #1 was less than successful. [Drakelist] Update on the 13.695 MHz crystal for Drake TR-7A VCXO
Hi All, Update: ICM has evaluated the OEM crystal and has found that the loading is inductive. They are cutting a new crystal for the new parameters which I will be testing upon arrival. I will post results. Apparently this is an unusual situation. Ron ___ Drakelist mailing list Drakelist@zerobeat.net http://mailman.zerobeat.net/mailman/listinfo/drakelist
Re: [Drakelist] Update on the 13.695 MHz crystal for Drake TR-7A VCXO
Interesting! Did they determine this by evaluating the circuit or by examining the crystal?? Do they believe that the other two crystals will be the same?? -- 73, Garey - K4OAH St Charles, IL Drake 2-B, 2-C/2-NT, 4-A, 4-B, C-Line and TR-4/C Service Supplement CDs www.k4oah.com Ron Ries wrote: Hi All, Update: ICM has evaluated the OEM crystal and has found that the loading is /inductive/. [Drakelist] Parting out MN2000 no choice.
Hello to the group. MN2000...Whats left; The cabinet, the inner box and chassis, brkts etc, the big variable caps (and both big knobs). The front face plate (nice) . The inductor coils. The circuit board for driving the meter, the wafer switch, the small switch ( knob ) reset swr. The main band switch assy, missing a couple of contacts. This rig was hit by lightning Or someone hot switched it. Took out the antenna selector setup, shaft etc ? long gone, the fixed caps pulled out and the band switch as stated quasi there.
