[Drakelist] TR-4 Audio Hum Question
I have used the Hayseed kit and it is very simple to install. You will need a high wattage soldering gun or other comparable device (not just a small pencil-type iron) for one one of the can caps. As somebody else mentioned, you should test the PS using a voltmeter before you attach it to your TR4. Especially make sure the bias voltage is correct. While I was in there, I also replaced all of the resistors with modern types; it only costs a few dollars in parts and 30 min of labor. You then know that your PS is in good shape all-around. ___ Drakelist mailing list Drakelist@zerobeat.net http://mailman.zerobeat.net/mailman/listinfo/drakelist
[Drakelist] WTB: AC-4
I just got a T-4X to keep my R4A company, so now I'm looking for a power supply. If anybody has an AC-4 (maybe an AC-3 if it's in good shape) they would like to seel, please let me know. If you have an MS-4 to go with it, even better. Thanks - Alan, WB2ERJ, aade...@yahoo.com ___ Drakelist mailing list Drakelist@zerobeat.net http://mailman.zerobeat.net/mailman/listinfo/drakelist
[drakelist] Re: Dmm recomendations
Many thanks for all of the info folks. I've ordered a Fluke 115 which I'm sure will satisfy my needs for quite some time. BTW, I do not yet have a Drake but would like to acquire a 2-line (I only work cw) when I finish with current products. Thanks -- Alan
[drakelist] DMM recommendation
Can anybody recommend a decent DMM for use in maintaining my boatanchors? Something with a fair sized display for my aging eyes would be great. My ancient analog VOM doesn't cut it anymore. I don't need laboratory accuracy, just a reliable instrument.
