[drakelist] Wanted: Drake R-4B

2005-06-06 Thread John R Sandidge
Dear subscribers,I want to buy a R-4B.Not an R-4 or R-4C, but an R-4B receiver. I would prefer that it be working, but not working would be satisfactory. When you get over a stroke, with the right side paralyzed and the voice about gone, time really doesn't mean anything. Anybody who has a R-4B for sale, contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]. John, WA4ZKA John R. Sandidge PO Box 1245 Whitley City, KY 42653-1245 (606) 376-2095

[drakelist] T-4XB problem

After 20 years, and a severe stroke, I have taken a storage set of
twins, Drake R-4B and T-4XB, out of the closet. The receiver works
fine, but the transmitter does not. It turns on, but doesn't have any
output. Bill Frost's Drake Museum says that the D-5 diode is bad. I
can't find it to check it out.

Would one of gentlemen please direct me to the right spot. I will have
to get friend to help me, as I have only one arm, but would really like
to have it working. I have the original instruction manual and
schematic diagram in my possession.
