Needs to be low capacity cable, as short as possible, (12-18). RG-62A/U, RG-59/U, Belden 8421 Mic
cable, etc. 14 - 18 pF/ft.
The center conductor needs to be plugged into ANY crystal socket, to the pin that is 'common' to all
the others. Typically the bottom pin of each crystal socket, and the shield of the cable to chassis
ground, NOT to the other crystal socket pin. It does not matter which crystal socket is used, nor
does the socket used have to be selected from the front panel.
The cable should also be unplugged from the receiver when using the internal
crystals.
