savage-kernel oops

Hopefully this is the right mailing list...
Using latest drm-cvs from cvs, latest Mesa from cvs:

Loading the kernel-modules work, starting X also works, glxinfo reports 
direct-rendering enabled, but then the savage module oops and glxinfo 
finishes wrong.
glxgears crashes the computer
