Which version of the i915 DRM is that? Can you also attach the DRM related
kernel output?

Note that this should only be an issue if the 3D driver is configured for
sync-to-vblank, either via the mentioned environment variables or via the
driconf setting vblank_mode.

I just tried the same code on an x86 computer, with an r300 (although a
different model to my x86_64 computer) and the blue patches bug does not occur.
Perhaps it's some obscure x86_64 bug that no one has caught?

I have a toshbia M100 with a GMA 945/950 in it and I want to be able to use
composite but when I use a compsiting manger such as the ones found in xfwm or
kwin or if I use xcompmgr OpenGL windows draw themselves on top of everything
else regardless to the actual window layering. I will attach configuration
files, log files and a screenshot of the problem.

Thanks. Could you try current git master? I don't really expect it to make a
difference though.

Also, what does

grep i915 /proc/interrupts

say?

> And, we didn't got those environment variables set when we run the glxinfo.

No vblank_mode entry in /etc/drirc or ~/.drirc either?

There is actually no code in the dri driver preventing loading it on
xpress 200 igps, it will just output a warning. Apart from enabling it
in ddx, you will need to add your chip id to the drm, however (an old
patch doing just that:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=4971 - it probably won't
apply, and you should add RADEON_NEW_MEMMAP too).

Ok.  Thanks this helps.  Before your note, I hacked DRI to add support for 0x5955, but I wasn't sure what the proper flags were for the rest of the settings.

Let me know if you run into any problems.

It could also be that the XPRESS chips have a different memory
controller altogether (although this is somewhat doubtful).

FWIW, radeontool
(http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=users/airlied/radeontool.git;a=summary)
will give you a nicer (though more limited) dump.

it works! with the current git master, it won't report these information
Thanks for the help

Yeah, we don't use those files at all.

So this issue is caused by the kernel module out of date.
