I see something related to epfl inside the patch:

-include $(TOPDIR)/Rules.make
+include $(TOPDIR)/Rules.make $(TOPDIR)/epfl

I think this is an error.

There is also a patch file inside your patch:

diff -ruN ./patch ../mydripkg2/patch
--- ./patch 2005-03-22 12:57:01.0 +0100
+++ ../mydripkg2/patch  1970-01-01 01:00:00.0 +0100

I think you should remove this patch from the directory before creating
the patch itself ;)

Regards,

Marc

Maybe that would fix the search engine? I can't remember last time I saw
it working :)

Are you running the cvs version or some modified dri?
In both case, is it possible to see your Xfree86 config file?

Thanks,

[Dri-devel] 8500 & Xvideo

2002-07-17 Thread Marc Poulhiès

Hi,
sorry if this is a dumb question :)
I was wondering if it was possible to use Xvideo with the radeon 8500
drivers? I know gatos is more apropriate for such questions, but i would
like to have 3D and Xvideo. For the moment i'm forced to use mplayer
with the -noxv switch...
Thanks

[Dri-devel] Radeon 8500 ,sound & tribes2

2002-07-16 Thread Marc Poulhiès

I have been playing tribes2 without a problem exept that the sound gets
more and more noise with higher resolution... 800x600 is fine, 1024x768
sounds creepy and 1280x1024 is just horrible. I have this probleme
specialy in tribes2 menu. I read in the README.r200 in the directory
where the bleeding-edge snapshots are that some apps (like q3) can have
problems with their menu, can this be the same problem?

Re: [Dri-devel] My experiance with DRI and gcc-3.0(.4)

2002-07-12 Thread Marc Poulhiès

hi,
as you are talking about install.sh, i find a little problem when using
it for the first time. When you dont have a kernel module installed
before the first run of install.sh, the modprobe fails...a simple depmod
-a then the modprobe fixes this... I was thinking that maybe this depmod
-a should be included in the script. Is this a bad idea?

I wish i could test with tcl enabled, but i dont know why, glxinfo gives
me that:

-unknown chip id, assuming full r200 support
-disabling TCL support

I have an ATI Radeon 8500 QL (if it can help)

I must say i'm impressed by the performance of these drivers, as i
get the same fps with ati closed source ones.

[Dri-devel] Compilation

2002-06-23 Thread Marc Poulhiès

Hi!
sorry if this question is very dumb, but i wanted to test the latest dri
drivers for my ati radeon 8500 but they wont compile... Here are the
messages i get:

In file included from radeon_drv.c:32:
drmP.h:168: conflicting types for `vmalloc_to_page'
/lib/modules/2.4.18/build/include/linux/mm.h:606: previous declaration of
`vmalloc_to_page'

For compiling i was forced to comment the #if at line 168, but i wonder
if this is a good idea.

If it can help, i use gcc 2.95.3 on a slack 8.1

Thanks!
