[Dri-devel] Q: ATI Radeon 7500/8500
Hi Due to the fact that i want to get rid of NVIDIA, as i did never manage to get a driver properly working exept the `nv' from X/DRI, and as ATI till now seems to be the only HW Vendor willing to coopreate with Developers not working at the vendors facilities, and as i do only have one computer for Work and Experimenting: Does anybody know wether the fairly new ATI Radeon 7500/8500 basically can be used with existing X/DRI Radeon driver?? YES?/sort of?) I was cross reading the 8500 thread in the archive and wondering wether this died as an highly pilosophical thread about OS/NDA/... or wether there is allready a ongoing developement where help is needed at least as (pre)alpha tester?? However, I was told by ATI that, at least in TV-in/out respects Radeon All-in-Wonder 8500 is similar to existing All-in-Wonders.
