There is a lot in common, but there are a lot of differences at the hardware
level too. I think it's a general problem with our drivers that we don't do
enough sharing -- in this case you have completely different hardware
registers and packets, and quite a few additional capabilities in the 830, but
a lot of similarities too. It would be nice to share more of the code.
There have been some discussions about this on this list already...
