No, it wasn't merged at that time. We retrospectively decided that we needed a stable binary release based on XFree 4.2. That is what we'll have - only critical fixes will be committed to that branch. Future snapshots & development will be based on XFree 4.3, which Alan merged recently. I've created a stable-1-0-branch as a tag from alan's pre-xf4.3-merge tag 'trunk-20021022'. This will be the site for the first stable binary snapshot, and will target XFree86 4.2.x installations. I haven't done anything more than create the branch at this stage. Before releasing the binary, we have at least one compatibility issue to fix (libxaa.a). Does anyone have any others? Reide, if you're reading, if you wanted to build a preliminary snapshot from that branch, using rh7.3, that would be useful, I think.
