Re: [dspace-tech] Re: Is this the correct command to update item metadata through REST API?

2016-06-10 Thread Tao Zhao
Now I found even I restart tomcat the old metadata was still there. : -(

So how can I restart/reload to adopt the new updated matadata for the items?

Thanks,

[dspace-tech] Downloading a bitstream using XMLUI

2016-06-10 Thread Evgeni Dimitrov
In the DSpace-Manual it is documented how to get a bitstream using REST:

//dspace.xx.xx:8080/rest/bitstreams/290183/retrieve

But the bitstream can be downloaded using XMLUI:

//dspace.xx.xx:8080/xmlui/bitstream/nls/22290/10001/*

I believe that this is also documented - the rule how to create the above
link, based on xmlui.
Could somebody point to the place where this is documented.

Best regards

Re: [dspace-tech] Importing BibTeX files using BTE

2016-06-10 Thread Oliver Goldschmidt
Hi Claudia,

thank you very much for your reply!
I know the config file for BTE, but I do not see how I can split the BibTeX
field for author into several dc.contributor.author fields in the DSpace
record. As far as I know I can only map a key from the bibtex file to a key
in the config file, which maps to a dc field (but it seems to me that its
always only one field). For example in the bibTeXDataLoader-section in
bte.xml: maps to the outputMap,
where I find this element: . My interpreation is, that the value of the
author field is set into the field dc.contributor.author - but I can't see
if I can process the BibTeX field before putting it into the DSpace field
(and I guess that would be necessary to split off the author string to get
it into multiple DC attributes).

About the latex encoded ü: if I understand you correctly, I will have no
choice and need to convert such characters before I import the record into
DSpace. I guess that's not very comfortable (as that means I need to check
every BibTeX record before importing), but okay...

Thanks
Oliver

Thanks for the note, Ondrej!

It looks like others had already mentioned a very similar issue with

Re: [dspace-tech] erro de metadados ao inserir documentos

2016-06-10 Thread Luiz dos Santos
Hi Rafael,

As Claudia mentioned you can see details about the translations in
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC5x/Localization+L10n . In case of
jspui, you can find the messages here
[dspace-source]/dspace/modules/jspui/src/main/resources/Messages.properties
, I don't know about the IBICT customization version, even more, each
language should have it own file, the translated files should be in
[dspace-source]/dspace/modules/jspui/src/main/resources/, the file in
portuguese should be Messages_pt_BR.properties, again, I'm not sure about
IBICT version, once you find the file Portuguese, it should have something
like, for author:

metadata.dc.contributor.* = Autor
metadata.dc.contributor.author  = Autor

Once you change the file you need build Dspace again.

Best regards
Luiz

Re: [dspace-tech] Importing BibTeX files using BTE

2016-06-10 Thread Claudia Jürgen

Hi Oliver,

the config file for BTE is:
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/dspace-5.5/dspace/config/spring/api/bte.xml#L256
which does a simple mapping of fields and defines the data loader.

As for the encoding this is a bit tricky as it depends on the packages and
inputenc used in the LaTeX itself.
The indirect way to input e.g. ü is
{\"u} or \"u
using \usepackage[german]{babel} ü might be written "u
and with

\usepackage[ansinew]{inputenc}(windows) you can enter them directly afaik.

Hope this helps

[dspace-tech] Issue with tomcat 8.0.32

2016-06-10 Thread Ondřej Košarko
Dear all,
In case you are running tomcat 8.0.32 and are experiencing strange issues
such as the exception below

org.apache.cocoon.ProcessingException: Sitemap: error calling function
'doSubmission'
at - resource://aspects/Submission/sitemap.xmap
...
Caused by: java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of
range: 3
at java.lang.String.charAt(String.java:658)

try updating your tomcat (8.0.35 seems fine). The culprit seem to be the
following tomcat bug http://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=58999 .
>From my understanding this should affect xmlui only.

Best,
Ondrej

[dspace-tech] Importing BibTeX files using BTE

2016-06-10 Thread Oliver Goldschmidt
Hello DSpacers,

currently I'm experimenting a little bit with importing BibTeX files using
BTE. If a BibTeX record has multiple authors, I see something like this in
the author field in the BibTeX file:
author = {Me Myself and Oliver Goldschmidt and Fritz M{\"u}ller}

As far as I know this is absolutely conform to the BibTeX standard. But the
BTE importer messes the imported record up and writes exactly that string
into one dc.contributor.author field. It also does not convert the latex
encoding properly. I would expect the importer to create a record with
three dc.contributor.author fields. Before I start digging in the code
trying to improve this bad behavior: can this get corrected by
configuration?

Best
Oliver

Re: [dspace-tech] Re: OAuth Login in DSpace CRIS 5.5.0

2016-06-10 Thread dummies code fest
Dear team,

When I configure the ORCID settings with the public API it works, but it is
not working when I configure sandbox and production member settings
(changing the credentials). Could you know if there are other
configurations or the URLs of ORCID services have been changed?

Thank you very much in advance.

#authentication-oauth.application-token-url =
https://pub.orcid.org/oauth/token

 Hi,
when you have applied for the ORCID API KEY you have provided the
allowed redirect URLs, see the last paragraph here

 http://support.orcid.org/knowledgebase/articles/116739-register-a-client-application

The dspace.url need to be included in such list.
 Hope this help,
 Andrea
