Hello Avinash,

DSpace does not have a separate mobile application at this time. However, both
the XMLUI (I recommend using the Mirage 2 theme for mobile) and JSPUI are
mobile friendly.

I don't believe that there is a built-in solution to this. It should not
be difficult to write a curation task that would, when presented with a
TEXT Bundle, delete the Bundle and all Bitstreams in it. The curation
framework can be used to drive the task over the whole Site, or a Community
or single Collection at a time.

Re: [dspace-tech] May this cause problems for the upgrade from 6.2 to 7.x?

2018-11-26 Thread Tim Donohue
Hi Evgeni,

As noted in your other email thread about this Solr schema issue, we
already have a ticket to fix this. See:
https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-4066 and
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/pull/2249

These changes have already been applied to both 6.x (to be released in 6.4)
and 7.x. So, as long as you update your schema in the same way (as that
PR) you should see no issues in upgrading to DSpace 7.x (once that is
available)

Hi Stefan,

I'd recommend checking your log files closely (both DSpace and Tomcat) when
the error occurs. My suspicion is there may be an error reported there
that could help diagnose the problem. Let us know on this list what you
find.

Unfortunately, we don't have enough information to help you resolve this
issue. Please take a look at our guide on Troubleshooting Errors, which
provides useful information about where to find error messages (in your
logs), where to search for answers, and what to send along to mailing lists
for help: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error

After following that guide and searching for solutions, if you are still
stuck, feel free to send the error messages to this list and we'll do our
best to help out.

DSpace does not have a separate mobile application at this time. However,

Re: [dspace-tech] Statistics query fails in 6.2. May be the ID is expected to be a number??

2018-11-26 Thread Tim Donohue
Hi Evgeni,

Yes, you are correct, the DSpace Solr Statistics Schema was accidentally
left as-is between 5.x and 6.x, even though identifiers were changed to
UUIDs. This ticket and PR are the fixes that your schema need to work
properly for custom queries:

https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-4066
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/pull/2249

These fixes will be released in a 6.4... however, you can also simply
update your local schema (see the PR) immediately to fix the main issue.

Re: [dspace-tech] dspace become very slow

2018-11-26 Thread Tim Donohue
Unfortunately, we don't have enough information to help you resolve this
issue. Please take a look at our guide on Troubleshooting Errors, which
provides useful information about where to find error messages, where to
search for answers, and what to send along to mailing lists for help:
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error

At the very least, you should check your logs (both for DSpace and Tomcat)
for any errors reported there. It's not normal for DSpace to behave
slowly. It'd also be worth understanding whether the entire application is
acting slow, or just specific pages. If the entire application is acting
slow, it's possible you need to increase the memory available to DSpace,
see: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC6x/Performance+Tuning+DSpace

After following that guide and searching for solutions, if you are still
stuck, feel free to send the error messages to this list and we'll do our
best to help out.

Thanks

Tim

[dspace-tech] Remove Text extracted files

2018-11-26 Thread leonardo . guerrero
Hi,

I need to remove all Text extracted files, is there any procedure in order
to accomplish it?

The reason for this change is that for our repository we noticed searches
are more accurate based on metadata rather than text extracted files. As
you sure have deduce we ran media-filter for text extraction and now we
want to roll it back.

Any advice will be appreciated.

[dspace-tech] SwordV2 spuriously delivers empty ServiceDocument

2018-11-26 Thread Stefan Kombrink
Hi there,

we are struggling for a long time already with this issue that under
unidentified circumstances our DSpace Instances stop delivering service
documents via SwordV2.

I do multiple setups where I follow identical installation instructions
line by line, and yet I am able to obtain this behavior on one machine
and not on another. However, the issue is not deliberately reproducible.
Basically we have no idea when it happens nor what may be the cause.

Here it can be observed:

Working machine:

curl -i https://vm-152-118.bwcloud.uni-ulm.de/swordv2/servicedocument

What is strange is that I can obtain a sword service document whereas I
can't on the okay-working machine:

curl -i http://dspace5-test.sara-service.org:8080/sword/servicedocument

We find this an issue for both DSpace5 and DSpace6, in DSpace5 however
it seems to happen much more frequently.

Clues & suggestions are highly welcome!

With best regards
Stefan
