was using, I realised that I had install DSpace 7.0 Beta 2.1 Release instead.

Hi Sheril,

It almost sounds like your DSpace 7 doesn't have the new 
"dspace.agreements.end-user" and "dspace.agreements.cookies" metadata fields 
that are required for that feature to work properly.

They should have been added automatically by our DatabaseRegistryUpdater when 
you installed or updated to DSpace 7 beta 4, but it sounds like that didn't 
work for some reason.


You can manually add these fields to the registry by running:

[dspace]/bin/dspace registry-loader -metadata 
[dspace]/config/registries/dspace-types.xml

I suspect that's the issue, but if it doesn't work, we may need you to send 
more information from your logs to this list/thread.

[dspace-tech] Shared collection between two sub-communities

Hello,

I have created two sub-communities, representing two separate research 
units, which would like to share one collection.  I found DSpace 
documentation which states that this is possible (see below) but I do not 
know HOW to do this.

*Collections* belong to a community or multiple communities (for example, 
research collaborations between two communities may result in a shared 
collection) and house the individual content items and files.

Can someone please provide detailed instructions on how a single collection 
belonging to one sub-community can be linked or shared with another 
sub-community? In other words, how can a single collection appear in more 
than one sub-community?

Verify the logs:

Error Log Files

   - *DSpace log:* [dspace]/log/dspace.log (*usually*)
  - [dspace] is the location where DSpace is installed

[dspace-tech] Backport of versioning strategy from Dspace 6 to 5

Hi all,

has anyone backported the new strategy of creating versioned identifiers
from DSpace 6 to DSpace 5?

We are still on 5 (using both handle and datacite doi) and would like
versioning them, but the canonical way is no option. Sure we can upgrade
to 6 but with all the customizations we made, this is a lot of effort
for just one functionality and our instance is running smooth. Rather
wait for 7 to do the heavy lifting of upgrading.
