[dspace-tech] Reset password user for dspace in command line
Hello every one We have dspace 6.2 installed in debian 9 with postgres 9.6 . some users created in dspace lose theirs passwords login. Is it possible to define an other password for these users witn dspace command ligne. Or how we can change the password in database. Iam new with dspace I followed the tutorial https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC5x/DSpace+5.x+Documentation Ihave installed dspace 5.2 on debian jessie 64bits. with tomcat8 maven 3.0.5 openjdk7 ant 1.9 apache2 postgresql9.4 all prerequisite packages are installed with apt-get install tomcat run under user tomcat8 in the tutorial DSpace will need to run as the same user as Tomcat I do not understand is this that the building and installation of dspace in this case will be run as the user name tomcat8 or as the user dspace created above I think the user dspace( creates : useradd -m dspace) is just required for database of dspace is this right or no thanks for help excuse me i am bad in english -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DSpace Technical Support" group. we installed dspace 6.0 on tomcat8 openjdk-7 and it work fine with the
following configuration in local.cfg :

dspace.oai.url = ${dspace.baseUrl}/oai

handle.dir = ${dspace.dir}/handle-server
we would like to configure mod_jk apache to make dspace listen on port 80 and
the dspace server will be avalaible on url : http://dspace.domain.com/.
shoud we make changes to the configuration file (local.cfg ) or leave it as it
is.

[dspace-tech] modify multiple submissions for one collection at once
Helo every one; We have dspace 6.0 runing under debian We would like to modify the metadata "dc.language.iso" field for several submissions (more than 800 submissions) from a collection. We looked at the database but we could not find the field dc.language.iso. Is it possible to modify this field by a sql request or we will be obliged to modify these submissions one by one. [dspace-tech] item state changed to archived after runing ant update dspace 6.0
hello everyone; I have dspace 6.0 install under debian 8 with tomcat 8. with some submissions recorded. I remade the build of the dspace package with maven and reinstall it with ant update. once the update made the dspace interface works properly; but I found the existing submissions have changed status and are archived and are not visible (not public).
