Re: [dspace-tech] JSPUI: Permissions on Collection and Community

2019-01-18 Thread Claudia Jürgen

Hello Andrea,

group1 with members: A, b, c, d (the member A can remove Items while b, c,
d only add);
group2 with members: D, e, f, g (the member D can remove Items while b, c,
d only add);

This can be achieved by making A a collection admin and b, c, d submitters

I would like that A can remove only items submited by b,c,d and can't
remove items submited by D, e, f, g in the same collection.

This is not possible.

2)For remove items from a collection, a member need to have Admin
permession for that collection, so he can edit/remove/add items of that
collction but he can also edit the collection, is it possible to do that a
member can only add/edit/remove items from a collection but can't edit
collection?Which kind of permission do I have to assign for that?

AFAIK not, you may consider using a workflow wher A, D have reject rights.

Hope this helps

Claudia Jürgen

thanks you all
Andrea

Hello Andrea,

in the last section of my answer I refer to the XMLUI. In the JSPUI you
will find the 'Advanced authorizations tool' at '/tools/authorize'.

Kind regards,

Re: [dspace-tech] JSPUI: Permissions on Collection and Community

2019-01-17 Thread Paul Münch
Hello Andrea,

In DSpace it is not possible to assign rights to a Eperson, only to
groups. So you have to work with different groups.

Example A,b,c,d:
- group-1 with one member A
- group-2 with members b,c,d
- group-1 has right to edit,remove,etc.
- group-2 only submit

You could also put these two groups in a supergroup, if you want to. For
the second example with D,e,f,g it is the same.

If you want to assign the rights in one collection to different groups,
you have to do it manually, i.e. you have to set the policies to every
single item. It is possible, but I would not recommend it.

A better way is to create separate collections for each group. And if
group-1 with member A should not be administrator, you can assign rights
for all collection items via '/admin/authorize' and 'Advanced
authorizations tool'.

I hope that helps and kind regards,

Paul Münch

[dspace-tech] JSPUI: Permissions on Collection and Community

2019-01-17 Thread andreamancino1992
Hi all,
I will expose my problem concerning permissions.
I have a collection and two group of e-people who have add permission. In
each of these group there is only one member who can remove item from
collection.

1)The problem is that I would like that this member could only remove items
submited by members of the same group and not items sumbited by members of
other groups. Is it possible to do this in DSpace?
Example:
group1 with members: A, b, c, d (the member A can remove Items while b, c,
d only add);
group2 with members: D, e, f, g (the member D can remove Items while b, c,
d only add);
I would like that A can remove only items submited by b,c,d and can't
remove items submited by D, e, f, g in the same collection.

2)For remove items from a collection, a member need to have Admin
permession for that collection, so he can edit/remove/add items of that
collction but he can also edit the collection, is it possible to do that a
member can only add/edit/remove items from a collection but can't edit
collection?Which kind of permission do I have to assign for that?

thanks you all
Andrea
