Hi Sue.

Can you explain a bit more? You don't need any driver to run Ubuntu.

Greetings from the south.

Hi Sue,

What sort of driver do you need? On most machines the live CD 'just
works' and connects to the network etc.

[Dspace-tech] Question about EMetsger embargo code

2009-08-04 Thread Dorothea Salo
Hello, folks,

We've got Elliot Metsger's embargo code running on our system (DSpace
1.5.1/XMLUI) and have run into an oddity. On the page where the
submitter chooses embargo length, the key
"xmlui.Submission.submit.EmbargoStep.label_embargoduration" is being
called twice, once before the list of durations, once after it. Has
this happened to anyone else? Where in the code is this done, and can
the behavior be changed?

Any guidance gratefully accepted.

[Dspace-tech] OAI-PMH for non-full text

2009-08-04 Thread Joseph Greene
Hello,
I need to create a crosswalk that will, among other things, filter out my
non-full text resources. I can easily do this based on the metadata, but how
would I cause the system to not output a record? I was thinking that maybe
there is a way into 'tricking' it into to thinking that it is a withdrawn
item if full text is unavailable.

Does the OAIDCCrosswalk.java for example pass any type of parameter up to
another class that I could set in an 'if' statement that would cause the
RecordFactory (or relevant class) to ignore the record?

Thanks for any tips.

[Dspace-tech] Visitor Counter of Homepage!

2009-08-04 Thread Gagan

Hi,

We  just need a simple 'visitor counter' on our installed

that keeps an incremental tab count upon the visit of the homepage only.
Can someone suggest the best option, of how to get it?

thanks,
gagan m
