Subject: Arabic instance for Dspace
To: dspace-tech@lists.sourceforge.net

Hello,
I'm installing an English/Arabic instance for dspace 1.5.1. I'm using
message.properties (default) and messages_ar.properties
(http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1776843&group_id=19984&atid=319984).
<http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1776843&group_id=19984&atid=319984>

by default Dspace (JSPUI) is in english, the UI is left aligned (Navigation
Bar in the left side). when I switch to Arabic, the UI alignment still at
left. As you know Arabic language like other languages is Right-to-Left
(RTL).

my question is if Dspace 1.5.1 can be configured for RTL languages? if no,
should I modify JSP pages to include dir = "RTL" ?

Thank you for helping

[Dspace-tech] Fwd: How Dspace 1.5 jspui manage I18N ?

2008-10-14 Thread Adam Fethi
Thank you Claudia, I added the two links to Messages_xx.properties and it
works fine.
 Do others files like [dspace-source]/dspace/config/input-forms_LOCALE.xml
or [dspace-source]/dspace/config/emails/register_LOCALE also have to have
links in Messages_xx.properties ?
.

Hi Adam,

please do NOT write to me personally, but keep discussions started on the
DSpace lists on the lists. You'll get better feedback and the discussion is
not lost to the DSpace community.

Make sure that the links in the Messages_xx.properties point to the right
files

news-side.html = news-side_xx.html
news-top.html = news-top_xx.html

[Dspace-tech] Dspace- Arabic language

2008-06-23 Thread Adam Fethi
Hi,

I want to use Dspace for a specific content and I have some questions:

§ Can Dspace be localized to Arabic language?

§ If language packs for Arabic language exists?

§ Can I use Lucene to index and analyse Arabic documents in Dspace

Thank you for helping me.
