[Dspace-tech] XMLUI and document($externalurl)
Hi to all! Just a basic question, I'm working with an xmlui theme and in a page would like to render the community-list referenceSet, I got it work using document($externalurl) with the address of the community-list and of coure the xpath, but my question is... Is there a way to call that page using the prefix cocoon: or just in another way to skip calling and a external http reference? Thank you very much. Best Regards Joan Caparrós -- . Re: [Dspace-tech] Hide bitstreams with restricted access?
Hi to everybody, after reading all the messages I don't see it clear, I have a file in a bundle that I embbed in a viewer. I would like to check if the user has the privileges to access to the file to include or not the viewer, I think that this is only possible modifying some code to delete the reference of the file. Someone know how to check it? In this way (modifying the code) or modifying the theme? Best Regards Joan Caparrós On 18/06/13 12:31, helix84 wrote: On Tue, Jun 18, 2013 at 12:06 PM, M. So we are interested that are not indexed in the search engines and is a document that can only access the administrators. I'm not sure if this is what Jessica hopes ... That's a good approach for your use case - storing permissions in the repository. But let me give you a suggestion. If you create a new bundle, it will be listed in the METS file and unless you restrict the bitstrean access rights, it will be accessible (if you know how to find out its URL from the METS file). A better way would be to use the LICENSE bundle for storing permissions, because it' not shown in the list of bundles by defaut. In either case, you should still make sure to remove Anonymous READ access from the file. You probably do that, I'm just making sure. [Dspace-tech] OAI set specification
Hi everybody, I've notice that in the new OAI (with DSpace versión 3.x) a lot of things have changed, I'm worried about the set call. In other versions we did a call like this: request?verb=ListRecordsmetadataPrefix=eseset=*hdl*_10687_4 where set hdl_10687_4 was a comunity now I see that with the new version this call doesn't work and I have to do something like this request?verb=ListRecordsmetadataPrefix=eseset=*com*_10687_4 I have to *save* that *compatibility* because some harvesters already have my old comunities sets and now I can't change them. How can I make to ensure compatibility with the old version calls? -- .
