Hello Clive Stuart, I got the same output that Clive is getting, but when I change the issued date of the item, by editing it, and remove the time zone, full date is shown in issued date column. [Dspace-tech] SWORD submission
Hello to all, I am trying to deposit the item in DSpace using SWORD. I am using sword-client-1.1, downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/sword-app/files/ Can I upload a single file using sword? I have tried this with sword-client-1.1 by uploading single pdf file, it gives me unsupported media file. If no, then I need to upload the whole zip file similar to [dspace-source]/dspace-sword/example/example.zip file. but it contains mets.xml file, which contains meta data information. How can I write that file? Hello Guys,
I just installed a local dspace instance (1.5.2) on window xp.
How ever to add a new field to browse items what files should be
customized
Based on some Claudia's comment I changed both dspace.cfg the section
## Browse Configuration ##
Messages.properties at key browse.type.metadata. Index name = [Label]
to the message catalogue.
But still an error message.
So far I did
1. Add dc. subject. ilrisubject to the metadata registry
2. dspace.cfg the section ## Web Interface Settings
## dc.subject.ilrisubject
3. inputforms.xml field
dc-schemadc/dc-schema
dc-elementsubject/dc-element
dc-qualifierilrisubject/dc-qualifier/field
4. inside Messages.properties (metadata.dc.subject.ilrisubject =

Based on steps 1-4 i can add items based on the new field. What Iam
worrying is
I cannot put this new field togehet with the fileds labed below on the
homepage

Hello Mr Indu Bhushan I you have to create the Anonymous group through SQL, creating this group with admin panel will not help you as this is a special group and inbuilt in DSpace. Hello Mr Indu Bhushan I think you might assign the default permissions to the Anonymous groups. As per your problem, I think you need the add read permissions on the items to the users of anonymous group. As each eperson in the DSpace is; by default, member of Anonymous group, this must work. ID to Anonymous group is changed as 0 and i added Anonymous group in
communities and collection. The logos are shown.
One enty is also shown by - Edit Item - Item's Authorizations:EDIT i added
anonymous group but in [submit to this collection] when i m uploading the
files it is showing upload error.
It will be difficult to add anonymous group in every item by - Edit Item -
Item's Authorizations:EDIT i added anonymous group .
So pls let me know how to solve upload error and how to add anonymous group
in all the items.

Hello to all, I am facing problem while installing dspace.
