2015-05-13 Thread cotanio
Hi,

Our OAI´s server is down
When trying to connect to:

http://digitum.um.es/oai/request

The following error message is shown:

[WARN] deprecation - The 'component-configurations' section in the sitemap
is deprecated. Please check for alternatives.
[Fatal Error] :1:50: White spaces are required between publicId and
systemId.

Why is this happening?
Recently we changed from http to https. We have tested also:

http://digitum.um.es/oai/request

and the error appears to us.

Thanks in advance, greetings.

[Dspace-tech] maximum open cursors exceeded (db.statementpool = false don´t work)

2015-06-23 Thread cotanio
Hi everyone,

Recently we are having problems with our Oracle database for DSpace. For
example, when we loading lots of ítems by using itemImport. The exception
is:

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded

I read that the problem is solved with the following line of dspace.cfg to
false:

db.statementpool = false

however we have already tested and don´t work.

Another way is to change the DatabaseManager class to make use of the Oracle
connection instead of DBCP for connection pool. Has anyone tried this?

Thanks in advance.

[Dspace-tech] maven build failure dspace 5.2

2015-06-30 Thread cotanio
Hi everyone,

I'm doing upgrade to dspace 5.2 on Oracle database and run:

mvn -Ddb.name=oracle -U clean package

the following error message appears:

/"Failed to execute on project goal additions: Could not resolve
dependencies for project org.dspace.modules: additions: jar: 5.2: Could not
find artifact com.oracle:ojdbc6:jar:11.2.0.4.0 in Sonatype-releases "/

Is there an alternative repository to add in pom.xml to solve?

In the pom.xml is:

sonatype-releases
Sonatype Releases Repository

https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/releases/

Thanks in advance

[Dspace-tech] TOR SQL injection attack

2015-02-27 Thread cotanio
Hi everyone,

We have recently received attempts to compromise the security of our
repository DSpace (v 1.6.2) via SQL Injection attacks using TOR. We have
seen access to:

[dspace_url]/browse

Some hosts are:

tor-exit-node.7by7.de
tor-exit.mensrea.org
tor2.t-3.net
..

Have you been attacked by this or similar type? Is there a patch or newer
versions of DSpace that solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,

A greeting.

[Dspace-tech] Do not remove certain metadata (qualifier = extent) when using migrate (- m) in Item Export (v 1.6.2)

2012-12-11 Thread cotanio

Hi all,

I am new to this mailing list and this is my first post. I'm trying to
export a series of collections of a DSpace installation to another. For this
I am using the Item Importer and Exporter via Simple Archive Format. For
export, the first thing I do is use command line:

dspace export -t COLLECTION -i [handle] -d [path collection] -n 1 -m

Using -m (migrate) remove metadata as uri, provenance, etc, and then use the
metadata import and that these are not duplicated. However there is one
metadata it is removed, it is extent and I do not want it removed because of
the items of the collections that I want to export a repository, the
metadata must be and then import it into the other DSpace. The question is:

Is there any way to prevent this metadata (extent, but it could be another
one) is removed using -m? Should we modify the class ItemExport?

Thanks to all.

Re: [Dspace-tech] Do not remove certain metadata (qualifier = extent) when using migrate (- m) in Item Export (v 1.6.2)

2012-12-14 Thread cotanio
Hi Helix84

>From the documentation indicates that there are more fields that are deleted
when you use the flag -m:

http://www.dspace.org/1_6_2Documentation/ch08.html # N15CA6

That is, not only are you say, but also:

data.issued
format.extent
format.mimetype

The key should be in class ItemExport, which is the class that manages the
migration export items. File not know metadata_local.xml use.

Thanks a lot.

[Dspace-tech] statistics null

2013-01-08 Thread cotanio
Hi all,

I have a problem with my repository statistics. When I access my statistics
appear visits and downloads of all the months and years except for two
months (October and November). Why this error may have occurred? What files
DSpace collects statistical information for display? Should we update the
Solr module?

Thanks to all.

[Dspace-tech] Column preview thumbnails

2013-05-24 Thread cotanio
Hi,

I have a doubt on the thumbnails in the preview column of the item list. I
have a DSpace 1.6.2 and jspui interface, and the item list in a collection
column appears empty. The items have a bundle thumbnail with .png extension.
I've tried everything like putting the lines in dspace.cfg:

webui.browse.thumbnail.show = true

webui.item.thumbnail.show = true

put the miniature as primary bitstream, etc.. I've tested locally and if
thumbnails are displayed, and then in production no. The servlet that
dispatches the request is in org.dspace.app.webui.servlet BrowseServlet to
display after the item list with their previews in the jsp full.jsp. The
classes that are used for displaying these thumbnails are
org.dspace.app.webui.jsptag.BrowseListTag and
org.dspace.content.service.ItemService. Does anyone know what could be
happening? The images I want to show are .png for transparency, but in
theory it should not cause problems. I would greatly appreciate if you could
help me, because I don´t find the solution.

Thanks a lot.

Re: [Dspace-tech] Column preview thumbnails

2013-05-27 Thread cotanio
I ran this task without result. Filter media used to create thumbnails of the
original bundle, but what I have in the collection is the bundle thumbnail.
Therefore items have no associated bitstream. The items have metadata
only. The thumbnail should appear automatically when I launch ItemImport and
put in the file contents: *imagen.png bundle: THUMBNAIL*. Can be an issue
related to user permissions to view thumbnails? Is there any option in the
file dspace.cfg need to change?

Thanks a lot.

Re: [Dspace-tech] Column preview thumbnails

2013-05-27 Thread cotanio
Hi,

I just saw that the permissions of the collection is anonymous read access.
Therefore, it seems that the problem is not that. The classes that I
mentioned earlier have no change from the default versions. Any idea?

Thanks a lot.
