You might also want to read the below which details the packager support we
implemented:

Re: [Dspace-tech] SCORM packager

2011-12-09 Thread Gareth Waller
Hi Carlos,

We developed learning package support (and numerous other features) for DSpace
at the University of Edinburgh during the Jorum project (http://jorum.ac.uk).
The modifications were made to DSpace v1.5.2 and we have open sourced all of
our code, please see:

http://developer.edina.ac.uk/projects/jorumdspace/wiki
https://github.com/edina-jorum

The source code in GitHub is the entire DSpace source tree whereas the
developer.edina.ac.uk site contains numerous individual patches.

I unfortunately haven't had time to create an individual patch for learning
package support yet but it is something which we hope to do.

Its probably also worth saying that the code we developed supported deposit of
learning packages (IMS, SCORM), previewing the packages in the Manakin user
interface and export of items in IMS package format.

Just out of interest, which DSpace version are you running and how soon do you
require this functionality?

Thanks
Gareth
