Hi James,

Those Zip files which Archivematica is referring to are being created by
the AIP Backup and Restore process:
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC4x/AIP+Backup+and+Restore

Specifically, if you are trying to export the *entire* site to AIPs to
send to Archivematica, you'd look at these instructions:
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC4x/AIP+Backup+and+Restore#AIPBackupandRestore-ExportingEntireSite

By default, in DSpace, this can only be done via the Commandline.

HOWEVER, it's also possible to export these AIPs from the DSpace
Administrative User Interface, BUT you need to install a separate plugin
to do so. See this "Replication Task Suite" plugin, which provides a way
to export AIPs from the Admin "Curation Tasks" page

https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/ReplicationTaskSuite

Hope that helps!

Tim

[Dspace-tech] DSpace Export to Archivematica

2014-07-02 Thread James Stockdale
Hi,

I'm attempting to import from DSpace 4.1 into Archivematica 1.1. I found the
following instructions for this:

https://www.archivematica.org/wiki/UM_DSpace_exports_1.1

However, when I export a collection or a community using the DSpace web
interface, the zip file that I get does not match the structure described in
the document. I'm using DSpace 4.1 (I know the document refers to 1.7.x but
those versions are not supported anymore). Is there a different way that I
should be exporting or is this difference due to changes in the versions? Any
suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

James Stockdale.
