Hello Janice,
You can set it using default.language in your dspace.cfg. Don't forget to
restart your tomcat to load your new configuration.
# Default language for metadata values
default.language = pt_BR
There are some differences between versions 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 of dspace.cgf, new
items were included.
