[Dspace-tech] Failing to view upload files

Hi

 

I have installed Dspace 5.2 on my test server accessible on the intranet. I
have uploaded a document onto the Dspace system but  one cannot view it when
they click Open or View. On accessing the logs, I am seeing the following
message in the logs

org.dspace.app.xmlui.aspect.artifactbrowser.ItemViewer @ Unhandled
identifier URI http://sswlibrary.uz.ac.zw:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/3

 

 

Any pointers

This message may be harmless.  It means that ItemViewer found an
identifier URI on the item which matches neither a Handle.net URL
pattern nor a DOI pattern.  The Handle pattern it is using is
hdl:|https?://hdl\\.handle\\.net/, which doesn't match the URI
above.

 Any pointers

Would you please describe in more detail the meaning of one cannot
view it when they click Open or View.  What happens?
